Makerspace Policy
The Cricut is a computer-controlled cutting machine that allows patrons to create designs for crafting or personalizing items such as shirts, mugs, greeting cards, etc.
The Circuit can cut cardstock, vinyl, some fabric, leather, chipboard, adhesive foil, felt, velvet, canvas, sticker paper, etc.

A 12” x 12” cutting mat and other basic tools, such as scissors, are available when using the Cricut. An Inkjet printer is also available for sticker printing.

Patrons must provide their own materials to be cut. Patrons must have their own device with Cricut Design Space downloaded to use the Cricut.

Materials used in the Cricut must be approved by library staff. To reserve the Cricut, one must first successfully complete the library’s Cricut certification class.
Visit MHFG Library if you need to get certified.

Once certified, patrons can use the Cricut Cutting Machine by visiting in-person or calling during our open hours (Not all materials are adhesive. Be mindful of the materials your project requires when selecting materials to purchase.)
